Spot-Check & Certify (6 Steps)

This process assumes you have the expertise to conduct your own accessibility audits.

We perform spot-checks prior to publishing a new Web site. This helps us to ensure that your work isn’t compromised by less diligent Partners to retain a high quality standard.

The process of engagement

1. Decide on level of compliance
2. Schedule a spot-check
3. Complete the Accessibility Conformance Specification
4. Send the completed Specification to partner@segala.com
5. We will conduct a spot-check to verify compliance claims
6. Create your Certificate using TrustServ™

• You are required to complete Segala’s Accessibility Conformance Specification during the testing process. This provides us with all the information we need to confirm that maximum test coverage is achieved and quality is maintained.
• Using our Specification will help you to accelerate your testing without impacting your own methodology. You do not have to change “how” you perform testing - it is not our intention to hamper your internal processes in any way.
• We also conduct up to 6 spot-checks during the following 12 months. This approach helps to ensure quality is maintained and provides end users with confidence that certified Web sites are continuously monitored for quality purposes.
• We will spot-check only the guidelines for which you wish to claim compliance. Segala can help you and your clients decide the level of compliance that is appropriate for their Web site.
